  1. Updated MBAM definitions last night and ran it again, but no detection this time. I investigated the file properties for 5ee5.msi and it turns out it is the installer for the Norton Online Backup program. I guess someone at Malwarebytes figured this out during the day yesterday and updated the definitions. Thanks for the info about handling false positives.
  2. Ran a MBAM scan this morning and it reported a trojan: Windows Installer, 5ee5.msi (Trojan.Agent.ED). What is this? Is it a false positive? I can't find any information on it by searching the web. Thanks in advance.
  3. *** I did an uninstall of MBAM using a deep scan with Revo Uninstaller and reinstalled MBAM and it now does a full scan and quick scan without crashing and I had to reboot only once. Thanks for your help.
  4. Anyone else seen this? When running MBAM v 1.50.1, the application crashes before finishing a full system scan. The following is the system log results: Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Date: 12/21/2010 Time: 4:43:30 PM User: N/A Computer: _GRACE Description: Faulting application mbam.exe, version 1.50.1.3, faulting module version.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x00001ddc.
