copy pasta from a different forum. What's in bold is what i'm worried about. ___________________________________ So I have a virus, and it's literally blocking every site except for this one. An advice on how I can fix it? I was dling some torrent stuff so i'm pretty sure it got in that way. =/ I'm running ccleaner right now, and having mbam and avast quick scan. However mbam was unable to update because it can't connect to the internet. Also there's something really odd with mbam cuz it's running very slowly and says that its not responding in the applications tab of the task bar. And the icon used for mbam isn't the normal one. Sometimes I see two MBAMs running in the applications bar, one with the real icon for MBAM and then one with this fake icon. And the one with the real icon appears momentarily and then disappears. The quick scans are taking forever. Help? edit: So ccleaner finished with its registry stuff (i hope nothing got messed up). And my internet started working again. Also I reopened mbam, and it shows the real icon in the task manager now. So I guess there was something interfering with mbam. My quick scans also started running much faster. so i guess im fine for now...? ___________________________________ new info: The weird icon is back now. It looks like a white card with a light blue tab running across the top. And it isn't the icon with the White M on a red background. Is this a problem? Should I be worried about this? Has this happened before? Both avast and mbam are scanning slowly again, but I can access the internet.

And should I turn teatimer back on?

Ok, I removed the toolbar and updated the adobe stuff. mbam found 2 more things, but another scan later on, showed that they were gone. Everything seems fine, so thanks a bunch. I have a question that has been bothering me, that I am not sure if you handle that kind of stuff. But though I have fully updated macromedia flash/shockwave players when I try to watch videos online, they say that I still have to download them. I noticed that if I turned off my internet security, that I could watch some of the videos that previously gave me that error message, but there are still some videos that do not work regardless. Do you happen to know how to fix this? Thanks again.

Thankyou. I really appreciate what you guys do. I am not sure if I have any script blocking software. I didn't fin any option to turn it off in Norton. I don't know if I am just being paranoid with all this, I look at other people's topics and they logs show WAYYYY more viruses than I. So sorry if I am an unnecessary nuisance. A few days ago, after realizing i forgot to update malwarebytes, I was able to get rid of a few[6] viruses. I thought the deed was done. But the next day i went to quick scan again and lo and behold another virus. I get rid of tht, reboot and than check again and then its fine. No viruses found. A few hours later, I scan and find another. It keeps coming back. My computer right now is fairly fine. However it is heating up wayyyyy more than usual. Also, randomly it won't let me connect to webpages but I would still be online and can connect to AOL instant messenger. Sometimes the opposite happens, I can't sign on aim but can view webpages. And sometimes it is a mix of both. Please help me.
