  1. You are right, same here. Changing the DNS is maybe not the right solution.
  2. @AdvancedSetup same issue, updating with mbsetup.exe same error, after a while, but version mbam changed from 4.5.11.202 to 4.5.10.200. Beta updates is enabled. I tried something else : changed DNS from automatic to google public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.44 (hopefully safe)and so far it works, never be too optimistic..... The version on the 3 computers is 4.5.11.202 except for the one with windows 11 : 4.5.10.200. Hope this is is the solution and that the errors do not occur any more. Thank you.
  3. @AdvancedSetup: did that on the laptop, result : malwarebytes is up to date, after that : same error : something went wrong : one or more items in the current update did not complete successfully. Yesterday I was able to update mbam on the computer with windows 11, today : same error. The thing is on the 4 computers I have different versions of malwarebytes : strange. Thank you for your reply.
  4. "one or more items in the current update did not complete.Check internet connection." Did that : is connected ! I have this issue on 2computers with windows 10 (updates still working on windows11) on it and different versions of malwarebytes, did an uninstall and reinstall (with the offline installer)on one of them : did not help. attached the mbst-grab results for the 2 computers. Thanks in advance for your help. mbst-grab-result_laptop.zip mbst-grab-results_computer.zip
  5. @Arthi Thank you, this workaround worked.
  6. Hi Arthi, Thanks for your reply. I unchecked "office loading point abuse protection", this did not help, restarted the computer and the same error occured.
  7. Hello, Thanks for your reply. Attached the asked zip file. mbst-grab-results.zip
  8. I have the same detection,Windows update is not pinned to start menu and Penetration testing is NOT enabled. 9. Thanks for your reply. I might try that later on, for the moment it is working all right with the malwarebytes rootkit scan disabled. The thing is that on the other computers I don't have that problem, same system Windows 10 19042.928.
  10. Thanks, with the rootkit scan disabled, the scan is finished without stopping. Kaspersky is actually doing a rootkit scan every 24 h. I would say it is solved for now (I'm never too optimistic when computers are concerned).
  11. Thank you for your reply. I already did a checkdisk through properties C:\ drive : no errors. To be sure I repeated it today with the command your mentioned : scanning and repairing 100% complete. I know that there were incompatibilities with kaspersky in the past, this time it is not the culprit, before excluding everything I did an mbam scan with Kaspersky disabled, same thing occurred: it stops a little bit further than before but it still stops. I have 2 other computers and a laptop also with Kaspersky and malwarebytes together, so far I had no problems with the scans, it must be something else, I think. I added the log file of the scan. log file detection mbam 20.04.21.txt
  12. Every scan hangs randomly once the files system scan starts, it finishes after a few minutes, the scan duration time continues to run, the HD temperature goes up to 53°C. I added the mbst-grab results. I also used the clean option but it did not help, ran sfc /scannow : no integrity violation. Thanks for looking to it. mbst-grab-results.zip
  13. @shadowwar : thank you for your reply. I can exclude it now that I know it's not a real infection, maybe re-install the software ?
  14. @shadowwar: thanks, I rescanned and I still have one detection, as mentioned by Porthos : 97096A.MSI. I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X5 on the computer, since I bought it end 2019. I have the same program on another computer, installed more than 6 years ago, did a scan with malwarebytes, same settings, and there was no detection. Sorry for the late reaction : I live in Europe.
  15. Thanks for your reply. I added the actual log and the zipped msi files. In the log files it's mentioned as quarantined but I did put them back. log file detection.txt 1530470410_msifiles.zip
