  3. I have been ill, but after about 14 minutes It seemed to correct it's self this morning. Have a nice day! Thanks arch1
  4. Windows task manager Image Name USER CPU Memory mbamservice.exe SERVICE 50 112,056 K Malwarebytes 1.70.0.1100 Any Ideas? Thanks arch1
  5. Have Malwarebytes pro on Windows XP SP3 with Avast 8 and Zonealarm free 8.0.65 and Malwarebytes never goes below 50% CPU usage. Any suggestions. arch1
  6. How can I make the text darker and bigger, can't read it very well. And what is with this 2" x 2" box to type in. thanks arch1
  7. Safemode should be F8. Must be quick though. Have a good day!! arch1
  8. Done more research: Tried Comodo Firewall with malwarebytes 1.60 on XP SP2 Seems like they were plucking each others strings. CPU usage was quite high mbamservice was kicking to 60% Cfp was at 27% in sync with mbamservice back and forth. Could not turn off protection and got a error at shutdown often. Uninstalled Cfp and mbamservice returned to 4% CPU and no more error at shutdown. With MBAM uninstalled Cfp ran at about 6%. Avast seems to be out of the picture. Thanks arch1
  9. Back to report some findings: Beta version 1.60.0.1400 works with ZoneAlarm version 8.0.065.000. Version 1.60.0.1600 does not work with ZA. Windows XP SP3 is not the problem Tested on SP2. Latest version of ZA will not install without SP3. Also will not work with Private Firewall. thanks arch1
  10. It's an older version of ZA free, I would use the latest but they are having birthing problems with version 10. The new automatic thing of the latest version seems to be buggy. Avast is updated every 4 hours automatically. 2GB RAM. Pentium 4 HT 2.4Ghz. Nothing to write home about but works mostly. I have done the rinse lather and repeat 3 times the latest version 1.60 with the protection module enabled is not going to run on my system at the current time or without setup changes. I was trying the older version just for the protection module. If I find some time I will do some testing, and see if I can give you some more info. thanks arch1
  11. I have been waiting on the sidelines for the problems to be sorted. I have returned to the previous version of malwarebytes, 1.51.2.1300. I can not run the latest version 1.60.0.1800 because: 1.) Conflict and system hang. 2.) Possibly caused by: ZoneAlarm version 8.0.065.000 Avast free version 6.0.1367 Windows XP SP3 This morning the database update failed: Database update failed: inflate failed with error code 0 I have this sorted for now, updated rules.ref manually I have "Download and install program update if available." "Notify me when a program update is ready for installation." Un checked and have been updating through the update tab. Have the paid version of malwarebytes since July 2011. Hope this is sorted soon. Since only 55 people reported problems, now there are at least 56... thanks arch1
  12. Just a small suggestion: When Malwarebytes checks for updates check for program updates first. If there is a program update install it first... If no program updates... Update definitions. The way it currently works it downloads the definitions first the updates the program wiping out the updates and causing a re-download of the definitions. This would cut the traffic on your update server. Thanks ! arch1
  13. I purchased my copy OK, told a friend to get a copy and he said he had problems with the web page. He has windows Vista and I Have Windows XP and that's how I got the info above. He managed to purchase his by going through Major Geeks ? Thanks arch1
  14. I discovered a problem with the purchase page: The check box for entering a coupon code does not display in IE 8 on windows XP or IE 9 on windows Vista nor does it display on Srware Iron browser. Displays properly in Opera 10.11 and Firefox 4.01. This may be costing you some sales... arch1
