How to identify good and bad pups

2 posts in this topic

Hi , this is my first post and unfortunately I'm not very technical, but good at following instructions

Due to unwanted ads appearing I downloaded and ran "spy bot DC" earlier today (this removed 51 threat items).

I then read about mwb and someone who used spy bot suggested it was better, so decided to run the free version, and it found 181 items, all classed as pups (I think).

I have since tried to find how to search on each item to see if it is a good or bad pup, but google mostly doesn't recognise search or some very technical info appears .

Basically I'm not keen just to remove them unless I damage the main register, and would appreciate any advise on how to identify the various items listed in the scan log?

Any help would be greatly appreciated (I have included a sample of the current log below)

Thanx in advance :)
