trojan.html.redirector.Al is not a "program". It is a detection for a web site HTML redirection script. It doesn't "run" on your computer. It is code that is executed on a web site (for the most part with few exceptions) when you visit it. That wasn't a Malwarebytes detection and you didn't state what did. Nor did you state what kind of email do you use.

If you have emails being sent "...out random emails to my whole address book..." then it is something else. Either a bit of malware is running on your PC (which I am not sure about) or most likely your Webmail email account has become compromised and it is not an issue of malware on your computer at all.

Sorry I am not as high tech as some of you so I left out some details.

Its windows Xp and its WONDoWs mail. I used to like outlook express better but microsoft does not.

I thought it was running somewhere else but the people getting nightly emails from my email address at Bell south

are offended and I thought we cleaned the computer well. I even located a posible email I got that was infected with something

that start to the mircosoft installer and I canceled that before it went to far and now that guy will no longer email me.

SO my wording is wrong but my suspicions might be right

but I am being redirected.

so I removed Malbytes and am about to redownload a clean copy and re-install it.

I love this product so I am not against malware or anything like that

i just hate that my friends and busines associates for the emails that contain on one line

the title is RE:

the web site is a porn or a fat site.

and NO I do not go on any Porn sites no matter what you are thinking at the moment.

I have no use for that trash. I am a true Christain.

and sorry this is the Karl in the header so no one thinks this is Jim

he is even a better person that I am.

OK what else do you need to know?

I have trouble understanding WHAT you wrote.

"WONDoWs mail" - I never heard of it and a Google search didn't turn up anything and trying to get my head around what being a "Christian" has to do with this subject matter.

"Its windows Xp and its WONDoWs mail. I used to like outlook express better but microsoft does not."

Are you using Outlook Express (OE) or not?

Are you using an email client or do you go to a web page like webmail.verizon.net ?

Who is the email provider ?

What is "Malbytes" or do you mean "Malwarebytes" ?

If yes, why would you think it should be uninstalled and re-installed ?

What detected trojan.html.redirector.Al ?

I uninstalled it and re-installed the newer version and paid for it.

I am old and in the past the infections from viruses attahed themselves to the virus protection programs.

I am not as current on recent problems like these

sorry

Hi, jimplants:

It looks as if you've already started a topic in the malware removal section --->>> HERE <--- ? :)

Please wait for assistance in that topic -- one of the malware removal experts will help you to clean your computer, if it is infected.

-->Please be patient and do not "bump" or reply to that topic until a helper has taken your case -- the "0" reply count will help them find your topic more easily.

(If you reply to your own topic prematurely, your topic may be overlooked, as it will appear to the experts that you are already being assisted.)

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

daledoc1 :)
