Patched_c.LYU

3 posts in this topic

AVG has detected "Trojan horse Patched_c.LYU". This appears to cause internet search redirections and block anti-virus sites, at a minimum. As it is "white-listed" according to AVG, it cannot be removed.

Malwarebytes does not seem to recognize this Trojan Horse, although it detects others, supposedly cleans these others, but then they reappear as soon as I do another scan.

Is Patched_c.LYU a backdorr trojan horse like Patched_c.LXT, and going to require a reformatting of my computer. I would appreciated any assistance.

Next.......

Please remove any usb or external drives from the computer before you run this scan!

Please download and run RogueKiller to your desktop.

For Windows XP, double-click to start.

For Vista or Windows 7, do a right-click on the program, select Run as Administrator to start, & when prompted Allow to run.

Click Scan to scan the system.

When the scan completes > Close out the program > Don't Fix anything!

Don't run any other options, they're not all bad!!!!!!!

Post back the report which should be located on your desktop.
