Unable to: Enable Malicious Website Blocking

Recommended Posts

I hope this is posted in the right place. I am a licensed customer and have always had great results in the past.

I've read several other forum threads related to this same problem - (since installing the latest update)

**

I have already downloaded and run the mbam-check.exe - and have attached the CheckResults.txt file to this post.

I am also attaching the last three log files, plus an old log dated 09-01-12 for reference.

I can not run the dds.com or the dds.scr - popup says they are not supported on Win XP64.

Anything else I need to do for you to help me diagnose and correct this issue?

** ** My situation is as follows:

The checkbox for "Enable malicious website blocking" is blank and it will not allow me to check it.

I do still have the checkbox for "Enable filesystem protection" is checked and appears to be active.

The system tray icon is greyed out - similar to other posts I have read.

I first noticed the issue when I lost all the icons on my desktop.

I seldom shut down - I only log off - I have tried several shutdowns and reboots to try to fix the issue, but no success.

With each log on, I use the Task Manager to run explorer.exe - so I can rebuild the desktop and reload the missing icons.

As of today, I also have just lost the MBAM icon in the sytem tray.

** ** end of report.
