Is there a way to "Select All" to remove detected items?

6 posts in this topic

I am new to the forums and have been using Malwarebytes for a long time with great success.

I tried helping clean kidds' computer and found over 2000 items detected!

I was looking for a "Select All" button with no success as I don't want to sit there and click over 2000 check boxes to remove.

Am I overlooking something here?

I am using free version but does paid version have that feature?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Joey

P.S. Any advice on paid versions, i.e. license per computer and approx. $ discounts available out there.

Welcome to the forum joeyg3d

First:

Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs)

You will need to modify your MBAM settings, if you haven't already, and want them checked for removal. By default it will scan them but will not mark them for removal.

Please open Malwarebytes.

Click the Settings Tab

Click the Scanner Settings Tab

Change the Action for (PUP) and (PUM) to Show in results list and check for removal

Run a new scan and remove whatever is found.

Attach the scan results in your next reply.

Next:

Please download AdwCleaner and save it on your Desktop.

Note: Be sure to select Save as Type > All Types

http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner

Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.

Click on Scan.

A logfile will automatically open after the scan has finished. Please attach that log in your reply.

You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner[Rn].txt ('n' is the scan order number).

Please attach both logs

Do you still need help with this?

Actually no I don't as the above actions worked perfectly.  The only problem is I  did not attach the log files.

Have not yet tried the Adv Cleamer  yet but will try.

It's up to you but if that was what you were after and don't want to do the scans, that's fine with me, just let me know.
