Hello and welcome, psn_cancats: :)

Sorry you are having a problem installing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM).

The experts will need a bit more info in order to troubleshoot this.

For starters, please follow the directions below to run DDS, and post back with BOTH of the resulting logs ATTACHED to your next reply.

The staff will likely need to run some additional scans after that, but DDS is a good place to start.

In the interim, you might also want to try a clean reinstall of MBAM, by carefully following the instructions here: MBAM Clean Removal Process

Thanks,

---------------------------------------

DDS Instructions

Download DDS from one of the locations below and save it to your Desktop:
dds.scr
dds.com

Temporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.
How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

Once it is downloaded, you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.
Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool.
Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.
A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.

  •
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    • DDS.txt
    • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please attach both of the following logs to your next reply: DDS.txt and Attach.txt
You can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file in most cases.

how do i upload the files her

Hi:

1. Click the "More Reply Options" button at the lower right corner of the message pane.

2. Look for the paperclip in the lower left corner, where it says "Attach Files".

3. Browse to the location of the saved logs and select one > open > "Attach This File".

4. Do the same for the other log.

5. Post your reply.

Thanks!

Great!

Thanks for those.

Now we just need to wait for one of the expert members or staff to review them.

In the mean time, have you tried a clean re-installation of the MBAM program, as explained in this pinned topic:

MBAM Clean Removal Process ?

If you do, please be sure to follow all the suggested steps, especially restarting/rebooting the system when asked.

Thanks for your patience,

Please follow the instructions above provide by AdvancedSetup and direct any further questions such as this one to the expert that takes your topic, they will have you run other tools to help in the removal of the infection. They can answer all the questions you may have regarding what infection it is and how bad it may be.

Thanks for understanding...
