Weird problem with MBAM Pro on Win 8.1 Pro

Recommended Posts

Hello MBAM community.

Here's my story. I recently did a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro and then installed my antivirus software(NOD32 Antivirus 7) and MBAM Pro. I scanned my PC using up to date definitions for both programs.

NOD32 scan came out fine. However, MBAM Pro's full scan on my C drive came with an extension mismatch infection. The name of the file is edbtmp.log and was in the program data/microsoft/search/subfolder. Is this really an infectious file?

I tried doing research and saw that this file was related to microsoft Exchange? Any information or help would be appreciated. Thanks!
