Management console on shared server

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are looking at running the Malware Bytes console on a shared server, that already has an IIS 8.5 installation (to support another web application on port 443).

The other application sits inside the Default Website.

Will the console installation install itself in the existing Default Website? I haven't been able to find anything to say this is / isn't supported, but I doubt it's a problem.

Thanks in advance

Samir

Hi Samir,

yes, at the moment the software will need to use IIS 7.5 Express in order to work. This should not mess up your existing IIS in any way and should not downgrade your IIS. There will be two instances of it on the server.

As per MBMC Best Best Practices Guide:

"...Internet Information Server (IIS) 7.5 Web Server

Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) version 7.5 is required for operation of Malwarebytes Management Console, and is installed during the installation process. Many customers are also using other versions of IIS along with IIS 7.5 that is installed here. There have not been any reported conflicts."

You can either allow the setup to install IIS 7.5 Express or download and install it manually beforehand using the following link:

Hope this helps. If not please log a ticket with the business support and we will proceed from there:
