Blocklist_Manager from BISS

Files Infected:

C:\Users\mikey\Downloads\Blocklist_Manager_Install_2.7.7.exe (HackTool.PortScan) -> No action taken.

This is neither a hack tool nor a port scanner...tho I have many onboard that are not targeted and rightly so. This tool comes from; http://blocklistpro.com/biss/downloads.html or http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.php?act=idx

I do hope you will use a checksum in the future.

Thx

I can get this fixed in the next update but it might not help much.

This has moved from 15/40 to 22/41 on VT since March. It would appears that you have your work cut out for you Mike.

Well that figures. :P

False positives are the main reason I don't any longer support the antiquated technology of reactive signiture scanners. It's much easier to control processes than it is to troubleshoot problems caused by folks ripping the guts out of their sys usually with multiple scanners and without a clue to what items they are removing.

Anyway, thx for taking care of it. BTW Nice to see ya again. I don't think I've run into you since the end of Paul's place.

Later,

Mike

Nice to see you as well.

While on some level I do understand what you are getting at the bigger problem is that the majority of users want to turn on their computer and use it. System control in general is indeed awesome but it is also far outside of what the majority wants or would use.
