Run Time error 13 Type Mismatch

Recommended Posts

I am at lost of what to do, here is what I have tryed. After about an hour and half into the scan I get the Run-Time error 13, Type Mismatch and then the program shuts down.

I removed MAMB, cleaned up all junk files, cleaned out registy.

Removed my anti virus software, Avast was installed, McAfee before that, but all has been removed.

Rebooted.

Scanned with Spybot SD

Downloaded and reinstall MAMB and same results.

Did this:

In Control Panel > Regional & Language Options

Click on Customise this format..

Click on the Numbers tab and click Reset then click Apply.

Click on the Currency tab and click Reset then click Apply.

Click on the Time tab and click Reset then click Apply.

Click on the Date tab and click Reset then click Apply.

Then click OK then click Apply and then click OK to exit the Regional & Language Options box.

Same results

Any clue to as why or what can I do, Thanks.

Greetings jimbo1 :D

Please do the following (I know you did similar previously as stated in your first post, but please do it this way specifically instead of using "Reset"):

Fix MBAM Run-time error '13': Type mismatch problem in Windows XP:

  • Click Start and select Control Panel
  • Open Regional & Language Options
  • Click on Customize...
  • Click on the Time tab
  • In the Time format box, click the drop-down menu and select hh:mm:ss tt
  • In the Time separator box, click the drop-down menu and select :
  • In the AM symbol box, click the drop-down menu and select AM
  • In the PM symbol box, click the drop-down menu and select PM
  • Click Apply then click OK then click Apply then click OK to exit the Regional & Language Options box
  • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and run a Quick Scan

Please post back with your results.

Thanks :D

Ok here is what happen:

Did as you asked and I notice in the AM symbol box was name of pc, and in PM symbol box was name of pc. But when ahead and changed it and ran a quick scan.

This is what happen next, when scan was done if found 2 infections and asked me to click on show results, when I did and clicked on removed selected infections it started to and this poped up:

windows cannot find 's\mbamlog.txt make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again to search for a file, click the start button abd click search

Then it was acting like it was removing it and then the msg popped up asking to reboot system to finish the removal process.

Reboot and back up, so should I go ahead and try a full scan?

Awating instructions to proceed.

jimbo1,

You might have setup custom logging and MBAM is trying to save log to "'s\mbamlog.txt".

Let's remove those custom logging:

1. click on Start->Run

2. copy and paste the following command into the field:

mbam.exe /logtofile

3. click OK

4. repeat 1-3 with the following command:

mbam.exe /logtofolder

After that, run a quick scan and see if that solves the problem.

Ok done what you asked and ran a quick scan, the normal msg The scan completed successfully, no malicious items were detected.

A log file has been saved to the logs folder.

In the process of running a full scan, will post back the results to let you know what happen.

Success, finished running a full scan and found no items, no error's popping up and the log msg is working again. Those fixes did the trick.

Great Job Spec-V and Exile 360, Many thanks for fixing this problem and Good Job of responding to this. Again thanks and may both of you have a good day.
