Malwarebytes' is already running

4 posts in this topic

Why does MBAM say "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is already running" and it will not open?

I am pretty sure it is doing a scheduled scan right now, but then why can't I open it?

Why can it not tell me it is currently scanning? It would be nice if it had an animated icon during a scan.

Is this normal, why?

MBAM 1.50 Pro running on WinXP Home SP3 with Avast 5 and MBAM exclusions set in Avast.

Thanks for any help.

Because in most cases if you have a silent scan running under the scheduled tasks and it's in progress you can't run it again on purpose. Having an animated icon would sort of defeat the silent mechanism for many but I suppose something that we can look at maybe implementing in some future update.

Yeah, I hope the developers can add an animated icon soon, shouldn't be that hard to program...

And not only for auto scans, also for auto updates. About every program has this feature and

you know at least what the program is doing...

I think that the animated icon is a good idea :)
