spigot inc Application updater, and Widgi toolbar

Recommended Posts

After running a full scan with Malwarebytes 2 viruses were discovered, namely Spigot Inc Application Updater, and the second one Spigot Inc Widgi Toolbar. They were deleted at the end of the scan, and have not been discovered in subsequent scans. However these 2 viruses still appear on my Belarc Advisor as being still in C\Programme Files/Common Files/Spigot/Search Settings, and the second one in C\Programme Files/Application Updater. Normally Belarc deletes immy any deleted programmes. Would welcome your ideas sometime. Thank you

Hi Christian, thanks for the info, that I have not tried yet. The reason I am thinking of deleting Spigot and Widgi Toolbar is because I cannot find out what they are for having noticed them recently in my Belarc Advisor, even though they are supposed to have been deleted by a Malwarebytes scan. What do they do??? Maybe I do not want to delete them after all. Can you advise their advantages please?
